Situated on the bank of Husband’s Creek, Wyatt’s Landing rests in a serene, mountain hollow which creates the ideal setting for outdoor recreation. The last amenity to round out the Coves development focuses on what we have learned people want from the Coves community.
First, the park sits at the trail head of the Husband’s Creek trail system. With dedicated parking, Wyatt’s Landing is the ideal place to begin and end a mountain hike. With rolling topography, the shade of large hard woods and the bold creek running along the majority of the trail, it’s a 2 on the exertion scale but a 10 on the relaxation scale.
The park includes a covered pavilion, perfect for a picnic lunch or dinner. It also includes an activity shed, full of fun outdoor games to enjoy in the park. The park, also includes a small bathhouse, providing for convenience and longer visits.
The most important feature of Wyatt’s Landing is the pickle ball courts. The two sports courts provide for a variety of activity but are set up as pickle ball based on the current craze. We are thankful we left the development of this amenity until after we could get a feel for what residents wanted and the pickleball game gained national attention at a perfect time. Although other communities MIGHT join, The Coves has to be one of the few, master-planned communities with dedicated pickle ball courts in a beautiful, mountain setting.
