Piesmith Pizza Opens in Lenoir NC

Lenoir NC restaurants pizza

Americans have shared a passion for pizza that began over a century ago with the opening of the first pizzeria in New York City. In the decades that followed, our obsession for pizza has intensified and the craft of pizza-making has become downright delicious as well as nutritious. This complete meal, especially when made with a whole grain crust, is packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants–add a little lean protein and red sauce, filled with lycopene, and you’ll be serving up healthy fare for the whole family and eating to your heart’s content.

Life in the Blue Ridge Mountains just got a whole lot tastier thanks to the recent opening of the Piesmith Restaurant in its new home on the corner of 819 West Avenue. Lenoir NC restaurants keep the folks in the High Country satisfied no matter the time of day, no matter the season. Owner Stephen Loe, is well-versed in pleasing the locals, having successfully operated Loe’s Brewing for years which may reopen in a new space by 2020. Piesmith is Loe’s new pizza project with all the ingredients necessary to wow the community. Featuring ancient grain in its hand-forged pizzas, a craft beer pub (10 to choose from) and a scrumptious handmade dessert bar, (of course from scratch), accompanied by locally-roasted coffee, this establishment will be a sure-fire knock out.

Piesmith is located on the lower level of a quaint corner brick building; the Salad Bar shares the building and is located upstairs. What better accompaniment to your fresh pie? Loe assures its partners will be serving up the best salad experience of Lenoir NC restaurants. Piesmith and the Salad Bar will be a match made in Blue Ridge Mountain heaven. 819 West Avenue is the former location of Bella Torte and Charlie’s Pub. It’s great to see such prime space being put to good use, and the reviews of Piesmith already speak volumes—raving about the friendly staff and fresh interior as well as the delicious, mouth-watering fare. Added soon after opening is Piesmith’s own specialty blend of fresh-roasted coffee, “hand-roasted by the masters at Sky Mountain Coffee of Stateville, NC!” Loe was pleased to announce their plans of expanding the brew’s varieties, in addition to soon packaging it to go, as the popularity of his place grows. This way locals will be able to begin their day in the mountains, sipping the old forge blend in the comfort of their sweet homes.
