Music on the Lawn – High Country NC

What do the Western North Carolina towns of Blowing Rock, Boone, and Banner Elk have in common? For one thing, they make up WNC’s High Country, an area that’s earned the nickname “nature’s year-round playground” thanks to its wealth of recreational, cultural, and sporting events offered throughout the year. These towns have also made their way onto several lists of best mountain towns in North Carolina for retirement living. But one of our favorite things about these buzz-worthy towns is they happen to be conveniently located within an hour’s drive of The Coves Mountain River Club in Lenoir NC.

Geographical desirability is just one of many perks that makes living at The Coves such a pleasure. Imagine this. You decide it’s time to make your dream of southern mountain living a reality. You begin by searching Western North Carolina land for sale. Your search leads you to The Coves Mountain River Club where you have a choice of affordable luxury home sites, from a cozy cottage on a quarter acre site, to an elegantly designed estate home on an expansive equestrian parcel.

You choose something in between – a traditional four-bedroom home on three acres of riverfront property where you’re treated to gorgeous mountain-river views, and your fresh catch-of-the-day is just a few steps away! Your home’s floor plan is open and breezy with charm-for-days. You fill your master suite with hand-crafted hickory wood furnishings from one of Western North Carolina’s famous furniture outlets. (All the big names have factories nearby.) You spruce up your home with even more local charm by decorating your southern kitchen and your spacious great room with pretty pottery, one-of-a-kind antiques, and traditional Appalachian tapestries you found in the quaint little boutiques, craft shops, and art galleries that fill the lovely mountain towns in North Carolina.

Your mountain home dream has finally come true! But this is just the beginning of your new life in Lenoir. Now it’s time to celebrate by enjoying some live local music. Living so close to High Country, you have easy access to all the hottest cultural events, seasonal festivals, and live music concerts! Why not treat yourself to some music on the lawn?
