Caldwell Rotary Club – 29 Years of Community Service

The Caldwell Rotary Club in Lenoir NC celebrates the beginning of the season offering holiday cheer, shopping, food, entertainment, decorations and Jolly St. Nick to the local community. This is one of the many fun things to do in Lenoir NC this holiday season. The Lenoir Downtown Christmas Festival, sponsored by the Caldwell Rotary Club, on Saturday, November 19, is a holiday celebration to make the whole family merry and bright.
From 10am until 4pm, Main Street in downtown Lenoir will be blanketed with festive cheer. Listen to Jolly St. Nick sing his hohohos as folks shop, dine, take in the seasonal decorations, and enjoy the entertainment. Children can whisper their secret Christmas wishes into Santa’s ear, have their faces colorfully painted, watch in amazement as the balloon lady twists her magical creations, travel on a trackless train, or run wild in the kids’ zone. Adults won’t be left out of the holiday fun with live entertainment, and plenty of delicious food to sample from the many vendors. And don’t forget getting some of that holiday shopping under way while having a merry good time.

All funds raised at the Lenoir Downtown Festival will be put towards Caldwell Rotary scholarships.
As an organization of business and professional leaders, they tirelessly provide humanitarian service, encourage the utmost in ethical standards in all vocations, as well as focus on building good will and peace–not just in our country but also abroad. A group of dedicated Lenoir residents began the club in 1982, and through the years their dedication has paid off with scholarship funds established to support the youth in the community, widespread efforts to eradicate polio, as well as the Caldwell Senior Center which was opened in the 1980s.
“Our members have contributed greatly to the betterment of our community. The past is only the prologue for what the future holds for our club and our community,” their website eloquently states. In 2010, Kimmie Ross, became the first female president for Caldwell County Rotary, and is carrying service to the community with enormous energy and insight.
