One cozy bistro, 1841, located at 117 Main Street NW, opened in February, 2013, has become a popular fixture in the community with loyal customers. The 1841 staff give all who enter a warm welcome before serving up their American-style home-cooking. And for those who like to move and groove, every Tuesday until August 27, folks will be heel clicking the night away, taking free lessons and line dancing beneath the roof of 1841.

If you’ve never tried it, line dancing is an incredible foot-stomping pastime where folks come together for some honky-tonk fun.  The early settlers discovered that clogging and cutting the pigeon wing were a wholesome activity and the rest is history.  Whether you’re a skilled dancer, or you simply want to try out your fancy footwork, 1841 is the place in Lenoir to gather for a little two-steppin’ with your partner and friends. Vickie Setzer, co-owner, was voted Best Bartender during Lenoir’s News-Topic’s 2015 Best of Caldwell competition, and 1841 received Best Night Spot and Best Local Beer awards.
