Live the life of your dreams at The Coves
Yes we did purchase the beautiful lot 246. And we are starting to build this spring. We fell in love with the coves, because of the scenery, but realized later how nice it is to have the “mountain lot” AND the community with wonderful people , clubhouse (sorry the lodge) , and safety of gated neighborhood. The distance to Charlotte, where our kids (couple of them) and grand kids live, was an important thing as well. We are looking forward to active lifestyle at the Coves very soon!
We are very close to retirement, but feel it’s not quite time to totally retire. We live in Bradenton just off the Manatee river in the winter and Anchorage Alaska 4-6 months. Our objective is to be able to live where we can drive back and forth. I was born in Anchorage, turning 55 Christmas Eve. Pete my husband has been there since he was 12. He was raised in South Miami. We want to live a slower pace than Alaska. Winter to Summer are so extreme and we are just ready for the next “chapter”. I w…
We are thrilled about our lot, it has gorgeous views! We had looked at several places but nothing beat the beauty of the mountains! We plan to start building sometime in the Spring. We’ll use the house as a vacation home for now (we have two kids) and then as a retirement home for Jim and I. We loved the amazing views, the amenities, and the great people in The Coves and we can hardly wait to be living there. Please let me know if you need anything else, and thank you so much!
If everything goes as we hope, we will be moving from the Low Country of South Carolina to the high country of The Coves in late summer of next year. Since taking early retirement over a decade ago, we have lived in New Hampshire, Florida, South Carolina, and soon North Carolina. Why The Coves? The spectacular views from our lot (number 230) and many others in the Coves, is certainly a major reason. Equally important was the sense of community that was evident among the people we met while we we…
We like our community of neighbors with a broad range of backgrounds who live here because they want to and who cooperate to make living here enjoyable. We like the great scenic and diverse recreational opportunities available in a mountain community. We like our proximity to Lenoir, Hickory, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Morganton offering access to plenty of amenities, dining, and fun events. Charlotte, a great city with an international airport, is less than two hours away. We like the re…
What drew us to the Coves were the spectacular mountains views, friendly community atmosphere and first class outdoor amenities. Of course, the friendly guidance and willingness to make us happy provided by Dan and Jennifer affirmed this was the place for us. From our first visit we were wowed by the beauty in every direction and the excitement of joining a young community that offers activities to keep us healthy and happy for years. We hope to build in the next 12 to 18 months. We are currentl…
We fell in love with the beautiful mountain views at The Coves as well as the river access for kayaking and fishing. We like the location and small town feel of Lenoir with close proximity to larger market areas. We would love to start building sometime in 2014. Looking forward to new friends, activities and expeditions.
Marie & I purchased lot #244 in the Coves to build our mountain view retirement home. We chose the Coves because of the friendly people we met, the great amenities and proximity to all western North Carolina has to offer and views without the climbs on switchback roads. We are both retired military and we plan to build in 5-10 years when we retire from our second careers.
Very much enjoyed the chili cook off and meeting you. Had a great time meeting some of my future neighbors. Ok, to the point. Why did Carol and I buy a lot at the coves. When we started our search, Carol, who is a web developer, did a search to find land in NC with mountain views, golf, some sort of club house/ activities building, horses, wine and a gym. The coves was the first place to pop up on her search and the first place we visited. Carol and I spent the rest of the week driving all o…
The Wonderful landscape, beautiful views of the mountains, and the indigenous plantings at the Coves. We love the change of seasons but will not miss the long, harsh winters of the Northeast. The people have been so nice and friendly. Dan and Jennifer have been a joy to work with. The proximity to so many areas and so many states is unmatched. Along with the increasing list of amenities, we cant wait to start building this year!
